Starting Windows command prompt in a specified directory

  1. Create a shortcut on your taskbar or desktop
  2. Edit shortcut properties
    1. Set target to location of cmd.exe (usually c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe)
    2. Set "Start in" to the folder where you would like the "Command Prompt" to start
